    Micro D, Inc. is founded by husband and wife Geza Czige and Lorraine Mecca, who were both teachers.

    Ingram Industries acquires a majority interest in Micro D, Inc.

    Ingram Industries acquires the remaining publicly traded shares of Micro D and merges it with Ingram Computer (Buffalo) to form the privately held company, Ingram Micro D.
    Ingram Micro D enters Europe through the acquisition of Belgium-based SoftEurop

    Acquires U.S.-based BrightPoint, a global leader in mobile device lifecycle services, which completes its largest acquisition to date.
    Acquires Promark Technology, enterprise computing vendor, along with its GSA schedule, allowing Ingram and its customers access to the U.S. public sector market.

    Acquires dat Repair GmbH, a Germany-based mobile repair and refurbishment provider and integrates the company into Ingram Micro Mobility.

With the acquisition of Global Mobility Products, Ingram Micro grows its repair and asset recovery capabilities.

    HNA Group completes transaction, under which Tianjin Tianhai Investment Company, Ltd. (SSE A Share: 600751 and SSE B Share: 900938), a publicly-traded subsidiary of HNA Group, acquires Ingram Micro for $38.90 per share in an all-cash transaction with an equity value of approximately $6 billion.
